At Ricochet Hunnay, not only are our owners US Army veterans, we come from a long line of military veterans dating back to WWI. Our family has served in almost every major conflict era and we are 2x Gold Star Family and Blue Star, too.
In their memory, we celebrate US Army Private Maximiliano Secundino Ramirez who was KIA in WWII in the Foret de Gremecey, France in October 1944 and LTC Ponce Espinoza (Retired), US Army, one of the 22.
Our youngest son served four years in the U.S. Air Force, our oldest son is currently in the US Army Reserves, and our youngest daughter is leaving for the USAF soon!
God Bless the USA!

Wishing you a happy Spring season from all of us at Ricochet Ranch.
We are dropping our first 8 nucs and starting our apiary this Spring! We will share developing information.

We've made our third and final move in as many years!
We have realized our dream of owning a home/business with land to grow on in California and are preparing to launch our apiary this Spring 2026! Thanks to Nathan Sparkman, of Sparkman Honey Farms, we will continue to sell Orange Blossom and Wildflower Pine Honey as we build our brand.
This view is looking the Sierra Nevada mountain range and Yosemite National Park. This property needs a little TLC. It is a blessed provision from our God and we are grateful for the opportunity to live and work in land well know for native history, gold mining, and quite simply being God's country.
With a 100 mile view toward Yosemite from a beautiful hilltop, we will offer visits and tours in the coming years. Veterans and first responders and their supporters are welcome!
Check us out as we continue to grow.

At Ricochet Hunnay, our logo tells a story. The honey bee with crossed honey dipper sticks symbolizes strength and sustainability, while the honeycomb shapes in the background represent the unity of the hive.
The splashes of honey reflect the high-quality honey we proudly produce.
So, why "Ricochet Hunnay"? Simply put, James wanted a name that rhymed with "Ricochet" and played with the word honey—and so, Ricochet Hunnay was born! The name is a playful nod to our holding company, Ricochet Ranch Properties LLC.
Our Story
Founded in 2022, Ricochet Ranch Properties LLC laid the groundwork for our passion project. In 2024, Ricochet Hunnay was officially established in Mariposa, CA, where we purchased and sold our very first batch of honey.

Apache County, AZ 2022-2024
Ricochet Ranch Properties LLC was born from the idea of freedom. Owners James and Luv Espinoza set out on a mission to purchase land in the USA, a place to call their own. In October 2022, James embarked on a journey to Eastern Arizona, where he found and purchased 36 acres of breathtaking landscape.
The following year, James and his adult sons took a road trip to explore the land firsthand. While there, they indulged in one of their favorite pastimes—shooting. Surrounded by Juniper Pines and a small hill, they noticed something remarkable: the sound of bullets ricocheting off the trees echoed through the landscape.
Inspired by that moment, the family decided on the name "Ricochet Ranch", and from that, Ricochet Ranch Properties LLC was born. Now, we bring you Ricochet Hunnay—a natural extension of our journey.
We’ll save the story of the bees for another day—hopefully, over a jar of honey you’ll take home with you!
Stay safe, be well, and thank you for your support! 🐝🍯

From AZ to CA
We sold our land in Arizona and moved our operation to Mariposa, CA in 2024!
We are currently developing the property for our own apiary coming in 2026!
We continue to look for unique craft honeys to sell locally and online. Standby for more information and check-in often.
With the exception of internationally imported honeys, our honey is all made in the USA and benefits US based businesses.
